Frequently Asked Questions
Sunday Mornings
Worship at Central Baptist Church is intended to encourage our response to God’s great love for each of us with this singular task: LOVE GOD
What is worship like at Central?
Our worship can best be described as “relaxed traditional.” We believe that worship is a sacred hour, but we strive to be welcoming and open in our presentation. Our music is comprised mostly of hymns and choir anthems, accompanied by piano and organ, but on any given Sunday you could hear praise choruses, as well. The elements of worship each Sunday (music, readings, children’s time, etc.) reflect an intentional theme and are built around the Scriptures of the day.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. You will find people in any range of attire, from traditional “church clothes” to jeans. We welcome you to dress as you are comfortable.
Is Communion offered?
We celebrate Communion during worship on the first Sunday of every month. We observe open Communion, welcoming everyone who wishes to participate.
Get Connected
Discover events and opportunities for all ages.
How can I get involved and make connections with others when I am ready?
Fill out a connect card and submit it online, or if in worship, place it in the offering baskets. Contact a staff member about the ministry in which you are interested. Let us recommend a Sunday school class where you can meet others, or a ministry in which you might serve alongside future friends. Come to one of the annual seasonal events, such as Fall Festival, Christmas events, and Easter activities, and get to know the spirit of Central. We look forward to meeting you.
