Give
Give Online
Financial giving provides a way for each of us to return gratitude freely to God for the many blessings that we receive.
In fact, returning a portion of that which we have been given is an act of worship. Furthermore, our financial commitments provide necessary support for the ongoing ministries, missions, and special projects of the church.
Traditionally, tithes and regular offerings provide for the annual operating budget of the church (every day needs), which is our first responsibility. Each fall, the Central family is invited to prayerfully pledge our anticipated support for the year ahead. This practice helps us to plan appropriately in the stewardship of our resources.
An offering is taken each Sunday as a part of worship; offerings are also accepted during Sunday School. Gifts are received through the mail. Many of our members make regular contributions through automatic or online banking. For information about giving or gifts that you have made, please contact Nicole Averette.
Mission Giving
Those of us worshiping as a part of the Central community are invited and encouraged to support our ministry partners generously. We give to support missionaries who are specifically trained and hold expertise for their fields – essentially, those who are prepared to do the things that many of us cannot.

Special, seasonal offerings are received to support particular agencies. Throughout the year, however, through “cooperative giving” a percentage of all of our general offerings is set aside for missions and ministries. Per our Baptist tradition, individuals have the freedom to choose which mission agency/ies they would like their offering to support (i.e., VBMB, CBF, SBC, a combination).
The missions percentage from those gifts which remain undeclared will go to the standing mission plan that our church has on file with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. To designate the mission percentage of your regular tithes and offerings to a particular denominational partner, please leave a message in the main office for Nicole Averette, financial assistant.
Endowment Fund
The Central Baptist Church Endowment Fund offers us the chance to share our faith with the future. The Fund serves as a means by which those who hold dear Central Baptist Church may give financial gifts or property to be invested for the purposes of supporting and sustaining the facilities, missions, and ministries of the church.

The Fund is meant for the future. It will strengthen and undergird opportunities for ministry that God will give to those who come after us.
In addition to our regular tithes and offerings (that are so very important), the Endowment Fund offers yet another opportunity for generosity – especially planned generosity. Generally, gifts to the Fund are above and beyond our ongoing financial commitments to the church. The Endowment Fund is part of an overall stewardship strategy that demonstrates both faithfulness to the everyday needs of the church, as well as confident hope in that which God will do through future generations.
